 ADMISSION TERMS & CONDITION FOR SCHOOL/COLLEGE OF NURSING

A.N.M.  

i.       The minimum age for admission shall be 15 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year in which admission is sought.

ii.       The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.  

iii.      The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of: Secondary school certificate Examination (10 years course), 10th class or central board secondary education or a recognized equivalent public examination.  Subjects of study must be equivalent to those prescribed by the CBSE for the class X with minimum 45 %. 

iv.      Admission is subjected to satisfactory, medical examination report.  

G.N.M.

i.         Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35

           years respectively on or before 31st December of the year of

           admission. For  ANM/LHV, there is no age bar.  

 

ii.        Minimum education:

a)       10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate of 45% marks.

b)       Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

c)       ANM training i.e. 10+1 ½ years training should also have passed +2 or its equivalent examination.  

iii.       Admission of students shall be once in a year.  

iv.        Students shall be medically fit.  

    v.         In addition to the above, admission procedure can be laid   down by concerned State Nursing Council/Nursing      Examination Boards (S.I.B.E., M.I.B.E., C.M.A.I.). 

         Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)

i.                  The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.

ii.                 The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of:  

Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course),

Or

Senior School certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination (10+2)

Or

An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university  

With Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE).

Entrance/Selection test

Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by University or competent authority.

         Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)

    To be eligible for admission to this course, a candidate shall have:

 

     i.               Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or

             Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognised

             by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 

             in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.  

 

     ii.     Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and

             registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration

             Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of 

             the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse

             with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence

             of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar

             duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:

-   O.T. Techniques

-   Ophthalmic Nursing

-   Leprosy Nursing

-   TB Nursing

-   Psychiatric Nursing

-   Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing

-   Community Health Nursing

  -   Cancer Nursing

  -   Orthopedic Nursing

iii.     Candidates shall be medically fit.

M.Sc. (Nursing)

i.                  The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

ii.                The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

iii.             The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

iv.               Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

v.                  Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

vi.               Candidate shall be medically fit.

vii.            5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.

Entrance/Selection test

Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by University or competent authority.  

 

Ph.D in Nursing

 

i.      M.Phil/M.Sc (Nursing) or  a Post Graduate degree in nursing

        recognized by INC, for enrolment for Ph.D in Nursing  

        (part-time)  under Faculty of Nursing RGUHS.

 

ii.     The candidates should have passed M.Sc Nursing with a

        minimum of 60% marks.
