The
Government of India has launched National AIDS control
Programme (NACP) Phase-III,(2007-12) with a goal to
control and reverse the HIV epidemic in the country within
the next 5 years. The Indian Nursing Council (INC) under
the Global Fund for Aids Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM)
Round 7(seven) has been selected for Strengthening
Institutional Capacity for Nursing Training on HIV/AIDS in
India. The objectives of the project is to strengthen the
institutional base in the country within the Nurses
Training Centres for strengthening the existing technical
capacity of the nurse already engaged in the institutions
and ongoing development of a pool of qualified and trained
(in HIV/ AIDS) nurses to serve in the HIV/ AIDS program.
The Indian Nursing Council (Ministry of
Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India) invites
“Expression of Interest” from Management agency from India
as sup-recipient for technical and management support to
the implementing agencies.
Eligibility criteria:
The agency must be registered and
existence in India for over three years, having proven
institutional capacity in terms of human resources,
capacity building, financial and procurement systems in
place, extensive experience in programme implementation
and development in health sector.

interest should also include details of organization,
capability statement, experience etc., Short listed
agencies will undergo further assessments before final
selection is made. Complete proposal (hard copy
should reach by 19th May, 2008 by 5.00 p.m.
